A vast amount of people don’t only want to lose weight, but they want to see results almost immediately, and they also want to do it safely. Interestingly enough, numerous studies have proven that in order to lose weight and keep it off permanently, your goal should be to lose no more than one or two pounds per week.

The most common mistake that people make in their attempts to lose fat is to approach weight loss as a one time thing and not a lifestyle change.

Essentially, most all weight loss programs which aim for permanent fat loss are based upon the very same basic principle. Generally speaking, such programs focus on reducing calorie intake in order to create a calorie deficit. What many people seem to be unaware of, is that one pound of fat is equivalent to 3,500 calories.

In other words, if you would like to shed one or two pounds per week, then you would need to consume either 500 or 1,000 calories less than you currently do, providing of course that your weight doesn’t fluctuate.

Alternatively, you could also opt for increasing the amount of physical exercise you do so that your body will be burning 1,000 calories more each day than it’s doing at present. Both of these approaches would result in you shedding 2lbs. of fat each week.

Unfortunately, these are both simplistic approaches to weight loss that don’t take into account other factors like bio-individuality, hormone production, and more.

But for someone who is looking to lose fat fast, without regard to long term weight loss, this is all that you need to know.

Of course, in order for the results to be permanent, it’s crucial that you acknowledge the fact that it requires a change of lifestyle rather than a one time effort.

The people who are successful with weight loss make physical activity and permanent and essential part of their daily routine. They don’t think of exercise as a chore. They think of it as their escape from the daily grind. It is their refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Instead, these people don’t see exercise as being a chore but rather as something which they can enjoy. Apart from weight loss, a daily exercise program has far too many health benefits to list here.

It goes on and on.

The truth of the matter is; if you want to experience what it feels like to be your ideal weight and have more energy, then you should be thinking more about changing the way you live, rather than focusing on how to lose weight quickly.

As modern life becomes more and more commercialised, our eating habits have moved along with it. In the last 50 years the mass production of food has skyrocketed as the population increases and people cease to grow their own vegetables and fruit. There was a time when households would grown their own food and change their diets with the seasonal foods that were available.

Households growing their own produce is rarely seen at all now (unless it is their trade) as supermarkets import all the fruit and vegetables that we would otherwise only be able to have when they are in season, to provide us with healthy food all year round, or so the theory goes. After the importing process a lot of the nutrients have gone from fruit and vegetables and they taste of little more than water, particularly fruits like strawberries.

In creating fruit and vegetables that need to survive from picking in a foreign land to still be edible on your kitchen table, the supermarkets have had to create food that lasts much longer than it used to, milk that lasts 12 days, fruit and vegetables that seem to last for ever. By comparison with the nutrient levels of food grown 50 years ago, some of today’s products lack many of the nutritional ingredients that they used to. As a consequence our diets quite often lack some important nutrients.

There is a way to combat this though; we can top up our bodies natural nutrients using mineral supplements, vitamin supplements and any other nutrient that can be deficient in our bodies. Keeping the body’s natural nutrient level topped up in this way can give you far better general health and well being, as well as giving you more energy, better joint health and valuable support for your body’s vital functions.

Lots of people want to be healthier than they are, but due to lack of assistance, knowledge or both, they struggle. There is so much information available about supplements and the way to use them best, whatever you are trying to achieve, be it build muscle, stamina, general fitness or to improve a particular body function.

Building muscle is not a difficult thing to do, it mainly involves a lot of protein and willpower. The fuel (food) you give your body will determine what it looks like in the long term, so no Burger King or fish and chips! To build muscle in the quickest and most effective way, you must go on a high protein diet, use a protein supplement, and work out regularly. The supplement will speed along the process and generally maximise the efforts you put in to working out.

Using the right sports supplements will allow you body to perform at a much higher level and for much longer than it would do using just a standard protein diet, no matter how well you stick to it.
